Good Luck

Good luck spells, tips, beliefs All sorts

Luck. What exactly is luck? Is luck being at the right place at the right time? Finding that lucky penny? Always landing on your feet?

Finding a four leaf clover? Discovering bird droppings on your shoulder?

Principle One: Maximize Chance Opportunities

Lucky people are skilled at creating, noticing and acting upon chance opportunities. They do this in various ways, including

networking, adopting a relaxed attitude to life and by being open to new experiences.

Principle Two: Listening to Lucky Hunches

Lucky people make effective decisions by listening to their intuition and gut feelings. In addition, they take steps to actively

boost their intuitive abilities by, for example, meditating and clearing their mind of other thoughts.

Principle Three: Expect Good Fortune

Lucky people are certain that the future is going to be full of good fortune. These expectations become self-fulfilling prophecies

by helping lucky people persist in the face of failure, and shape their interactions with others in a positive way.

Principle Four: Turn Bad Luck to Good

Lucky people employ various psychological techniques to cope with, and often even thrive upon, the ill fortune that comes their way.

For example, they spontaneously imagine how things could have been worse, do not dwell on the ill fortune, and take control of the situation.

Our most recent research has shown that these four principles can be used to enhance the amount of good fortune that people experience in their lives".

Identify what you believe to be the source of your bad luck. Common examples include breaking a mirror, seeing

your face in the mirror by candlelight, a bat flying into your house, a rooster crowing at night, an owl outside

hooting three times in a row, a picture falling, getting out of bed on the left foot or wrong side or seeing three

butterflies in one place. Objects may also cause bad luck.

Seven Lucky Tips

1. The expression of confidence is a definite component of luck. Confidence can best be classified as a subset of optimism.

There is nothing more beautiful than a confident person. Gaining confidence is easy, when you put your mind to it. It is the most

attractive and powerful trait we can have. We are drawn to those who are confident and sure of themselves. This often plays a hand in how lucky

we can be.

2. Networking in one form or another, is like planting seeds. Seeds of good intention and therefore, seeds of good luck. As you never know when the seeds

will sprout, grow and express themselves as a good lead, a client that shows up at your door, or a referral from someone else, who was in your networking circle.

3. Preparation , practice, and study. The motto of the Boy Scouts is "be prepared". This idea, when actually executed prior to a crisis,

can literally mean the difference between life and death. In less extreme circumstances it can mean the difference between a comfortable

and interesting life, and a mediocre, painful, and boring one. Preparation in life is like creating a safety net. It gives you a head start or

allows you to be aware of a current or future situations.

4. Putting fear aside is often essential to good fortune. Our bodies have a "fight or flight response. A certain amount of fear/stress

is normal and allows us to avoid dangerous situations. It also helps improve our performance and gets us motivated to act. Fear holds

you back and locks you in a cage, if you allow it. What are your really afraid of?

5. Risk-taking can be either voluntary or not, but just as you must usually pass through a doorway to gain access to a new environment,

you must usually take a risk to find or exploit new opportunities. Risk accompanies virtually every breath and step we take in this world.

 It's a part of living.

6. Timing is sort of the metaphysical correlate to the modern maxim that "location, location, and location"

are the three most important aspects to real estate values. If a person could fully exploit the timing of events,

even just in the daily circumstances of our own lives, we could in many cases, accomplish amazing things.

7. Self-discipline. Mastering your own life through discipline is essential for bringing luck into your life. Self discipline

is committing to a task one day at a time. Self discipline brings awareness. Awareness brings change. Change helps us to understand fluidity.

When you are more fluid with your thinking, you are more able to see the great luck you are given... daily.

Turn general bad luck around by turning three times in a counter clockwise motion. Or, burn sage around your house to cleanse your home of bad vibes.

Take the object you believe is causing your bad luck and dispose of it by either burning it or throwing it under running water.

You can also create what is known as a mojo bag by putting cleansing herbs such as agar and basil or purchase a pre-made good luck bag.

Keep this with you or sleep with it under your pillow for three days.

Draw up a cleansing bath with hyssop and rue herbs and uncrossing bath crystals for cleansing or luck.

Arise before dawn for 13 days and every morning prepare a bath and take it first thing. Pour the water over your head while in the bath and

use the remaining bath water to wash your doorstep for added protection. Take the remaining water out of the house and brush it off your front

door instead of washing it down the drain.

 Done During the Full Moon...

into it. Position the cauldron so that the light from the moon

shines into the water. Gently sweep your

hands just above the surface, symbolically gathering the Moon's

                      While doing this say...

"Lovely Lady of the Moon, bring to me your

wealth right soon. Fill my hands with silver

and gold. All you give, my purse can hold."

Repeat this three times. When finished, pour the water upon the

Money, Money Spell...

This spell I made my own version... and it works quite well!

This may be done at any time, but preferably at the same time

 each day or night.

You will need a Green Candle and a White Candle. The Green

candle represents the money, and the white candle represents

you. Make sure you annoint the candles with oil first, thinking

of your desire for money to come to you. Set the candles on your

alter or table 9 inches apart. After doing this say...

                               "Money, money come to me

                               In abundance three times three

May I be enriched in the best of

                               Harming none on its way

This I accept, so mote it be

Bring me money three times three!"

Repeat this for nine days. Each day move the white candle one

inch closer to the green candle. When the candles touch, your

spell is finished. Make sure you visualize the money pouring in

 from the universe.

Coltsfoot Wealth Spell...

EMPLOYMENT SPELL (adapted from "Everyday Magic" by Dorothy

Supplies: green candle, pen, bayberry, bergamot or pine oil, 1 dollar

bill, paper with amount you wish to earn written on it.

Gather the spell materials together on the first night of the

new Moon. Write your desired type of employment on the candle and below

it, draw an arrow pointing down. Draw a dollar sign beneath the arrow.

Below that, draw another arrow pointing down, then write your name under it (on

the candle). Anoint the candle, while concentrating on your need for

employment. Write the amount you wish to earn on a piece of paper (already

prepared). Place this paper under the candle. Light the candle and visualize

your getting the job you want (or getting a job in the field you want). Chant

the following:

"From you to me the money flows,

     casting out financial woes.

The employment I want will be approved

before the light of the next full Moon"

Let the candle burn down completely. Wrap the wick and any wax

remnants in a dollar bill and carry it with you. Look for a job on Wednesday

before the full moon. (of course you can look all during the waxing

cycle, but don't be surprised if you get THAT job on a Wednesday!)

EMPLOYMENT SPELL (from Spinning Spells, Weaving Wonders, by

Patricia Telesco) (slightly adapted by Lady SilverStarr)

General Uses: Finding work, improved prosperity, job security,

peace with one's work placement

Timing: Moon in Virgo. Spring and summer when foliage is lush

and green Sunday afternoons (when want ads come out for the following

week) Month of April.    (My adaptation for this time of year would be to

visualize the falling leaves as little bits of prosperity "falling" into

your life, bringing opportunities to you. The moon in Jupiter would be

good as well since it rules money issues. But certainly do this during the

waxing cycle of the moon)

Props/Focals: Basil, chamomile, ginger, clove, dill, oats,

peas, almond and other herbs or foods of abundance. Tin for luck. The numbers

4, 6, and 13.

Your first earned dollar bill. Want ads and business cards.

Lively green hues for prosperity, or orange for a successful harvest from

your efforts.

Sample Spells: Cut out the want ads that appeal to you most.

Clip four, six, or thirteen of them, making notes to use later for your calls.

Next, tie these together with a long string. To this bundle attach a

silver coin or piece of tin, then place it across the table from you. Burn a

green candle rubbed with ginger (energy and prosperity) and visualize

getting a call from a prospective employer. As this vision becomes clear in your

mind, draw the string and bundle towards you, saying,

      "My goal is sure,

     My need is strong,

help me find where I belong.

     To meet my needs,

     employment I seek,

     bring me success

by the end of the week."

When the paper reaches your hand, keep the tin to carry, then

set the paper aflame. This releases the energy before inquiries begin.

Success with this spell includes getting solid leads, landing interviews and

receiving callbacks.

This is best begun on the night of the New Moon:Use an astral

candle for

yourself - your colorA brown candle for the job itselfA green

candle for

prosperityBurn a prosperity incense and annoint the candles with

prosperity oil - I would use cinnamon. Annoint from wick to end.

entirely. Place

work, rewards I see, And as I will So Mote it Be.Say the above

as you

light the candles. Leave these to burn out completely and

dispose of the

wax afterwards. Each night, for a week, or until the candle is

used up,

light a second brown candle for 9 minutes while meditating and

balance in preparation for the job and the good to come. During

time period, Actively seek a job. Listen to your intuition and

follow up

on all leads.

A Charm to Secure Employment

Take a green handkerchief or a piece of green cloth roughly that size, lay

it flat with one of the corners facing you.  Place upon it 3 cardamom

seed, a bay leaf and a sprig rosemary (or 1ts of dried herb).

These herbs surround you in self-confidence and attract energy.

Cardamom sweetens your personality and brings out your natural

eloquence.  Bay leaves are symbols of success and triumph.  Rosemary is

a herb of achievement and mental alertness.

Tie the corners together with a length of string, so that you have a little

bundle of herbs.

Before each interview, hold this bundle and visualize yourself walking into

the interview room, radiating confidence imagine yourself being in a

position to pick and chose jobs at will.

Carry this to your job interviews.  And accept that any rejection is a sign

from the universe that the job was not right for you.

Found Fortunes

Anything you find is lucky.  When you find your lucky item, say these

"See a …(item)…., pick it up!

All the day, I’ll have good luck.

And when trouble might come my way

This little …(item)… will bless my day."

Candle Wax Lucky Charm

Take a green candle; dip it into some orange juice then light it.  Jump

over the candle saying:

"Morae, you who weave the strands of fate,

Change my luck, ill fortune abate!"

Keep a piece of melted wax in your pocket.  Etch a symbol into the wax

(such as a sun or any other symbol, which you find lucky, or one that

appeals to you).

Parsley Wealth Spell

Place parsley in your wallet and say this 9 times:

"Less goes out than goes in;

Erzulie’s magic here begins;

Prosperity within remains and grows

To ease my cash flow woes."
